According to Statistics Canada CSI Reports, Halton Region has maintained the lowest crime severity index of all Canadian municipalities with a population of 100,000 or more for the thirteenth straight year!
“It is quite remarkable that the Region of Halton and the HRPS [Halton Regional Police Services] has maintained the lowest crime severity index of all Canadian municipalities with a population over 100,000 (52 in total) for a 13th straight year,” said Halton regional police Chief Stephen Tanner.
