What is Advanced Placement?

Advanced Placement (AP) courses offer university-level content to students at the Grade 12 level. Students in AP courses study topics in greater depth, enhancing their intellectual development.

The AP Program works together with the Ontario curriculum and the Ontario secondary school experience to prepare students for university while also allowing students to attain university credits.

Students in our AP Program have experienced tremendous success, both at the secondary and post-secondary school level. Our high-achieving AP students consistently score above the Ontario, Canadian and Global exam score averages.

Learn more about the Advanced Placement Program on the official AP website.

What is Advanced Placement Prep?

Advanced Placement Prep (AP-Prep) courses are for Grade 9–11 students who are high achievers (level 4) in the core subject areas. AP-Prep is an advanced series of courses designed to be a rigorous preparation for the AP courses and exams in Grade 12.

Why Choose Advanced Placement?

AP students are exposed to university-level content and expectations, allowing them to feel more confident once they reach their post-secondary destination.

Since AP courses include university material, students may achieve advanced academic standing or equivalent credit at participating universities in Canada, the United States, and overseas.
