Approved Homestay Providers
Our Board works exclusively with two reputable homestay providers; Canada Homestay Network (CHN) and Dream Homestay Ontario (DHO).
All new International Students are required to find a homestay through either CHN or DHO.

PLEASE NOTE: During the online application process, if you have chosen CHN as your homestay provider, you will be provided with a link for Canada Homestay Network that will assist you in completing your Homestay application for CHN.

Dream Homestay Ontario
PLEASE NOTE: During the online application process if you have chosen DHO as your homestay provider, please answer YES beside “Require DHO Placement” and answer NO to “Require CHN Homestay”.

Host an International Student in Your Home!
Our Homestay Provider partners are looking for caring homestay families residing in Burlington, Oakville and Milton to host International Students in their home. Every effort is made to place international students in an appropriate homestay through a process of information gathering to match international students with a compatible family.
Homestay Hosts are expected to:
- Provide three healthy meals each day, plus snacks
- Offer a safe home with a private bedroom with a window, bed, desk, and drawers as well as a wireless internet connection
- Complete a thorough reference check process, including passing a Criminal Record reference check and Vulnerable Sector check
- Invite the student to participate in your family life and community events
- Provide the same support and encouragement you would want for one of your loved ones travelling overseas!
