Opening in September 2024, St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Secondary School is our Board’s newest built secondary school. Specialist High Skills Major Program (SHSM)

The Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) Program provides students who have specific post-secondary destinations in mind (University, College, Apprenticeship, Career) with courses and other related opportunities that ultimately help them to achieve their post-secondary goals.

SHSM courses offered at St. Kateri include:

  • Business
  • ICT – Information and Communication Technology
  • Sports

Advanced Placement Program

St. Kateri CSS currently offers AP-Prep courses to Grade 9 students.

The Advanced Placement (AP) Program teaches university-level content to secondary students. The rich course material, classroom discussion and unique assignments help to develop the knowledge and the critical thinking skills in students that are university bound.

AP-Prep courses offered at St. Kateri CSS include:

Pre-International Baccalaureate (IB) Program

St. Kateri CSS was approved as a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme! This means that St. Kateri CSS is now pursuing authorization as an IB World School.

IB World Schools share a common philosophy – a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education – that we believe is important for our students.
